TERM OF SERVICE 

 

Satisfaction Policy:  
Cotton Cleaning Co. cannot guarantee the results of mini-blind, grout, chandelier, or vaulted ceiling fan cleaning. Mold remediation is a specialty, Cotton Cleaning Co. does not provide mold remediation and cannot be liable for any mold-related risks in the client's home. Cotton Cleaning Co. does not assume responsibility for the restoration of severely worn, stained, or mildewed caulking and grout.  

 

Safety and Liability:  

We do not clean animal/human feces, urine, vomit, blood, needles, drug paraphernalia, black mold, or other similar bio-hazard substances. You must disclose these items to us before our arrival. Failure to do so will result in us being unable to perform the duties, but the balance will still be due in full. If the technician chooses to clean despite these risks, a hazard rate of $125/man-hour will apply.  

  • We do not clean walls, ceilings, exterior windows, or screens.  

  • We will not allow our Cleaning Technicians to lift or move heavy items or furniture, appliances, etc., or climb higher than 2 feet. If you wish to have any services done that would require us to do any of those things, you assume full responsibility for any damage or harm to any item or person that may occur. If you do not wish to take that responsibility, please do not have us perform those services. Our technicians reserve the right to refuse to perform them even if you do wish to take liability.  

  • We are unable to use chemicals on self-cleaning ovens without a written waiver of liability.  

  • We do not clean any remodeling/construction related residuals such as concrete, paint, grout nor cement.  

  • We do not clean if there is any type of remodeling, construction, or moving taking place, as well as any lack of running water or electricity at the property.  

Please have working conditions that are appropriate. We require running water, electricity, and a temperature between 65 and 75 degrees. Please alert us ahead of time if any of these conditions will not be met so we can prepare. Failure to alert us may result in our inability to complete the duties, but the full balance will be due.  

 

Breakage/Damage and Loss Policy:  

Please safely secure heirlooms and collectibles prior to cleanings. Please advise of fragile items (and their care) in special account instructions.  

Customers must provide images of damage both before and after the cleaning along with proof that damages were caused at the time of the cleaning. All claims must be made within 24 hours of the cleaning. Once the office receives the notification, we will contact you as soon as possible. If we do not hear from you within the next 30 days, we will assume you do not want to have us resolve the issue and the situation will void.  

  

Pets:  

Please have all pets remain safe during our visit. We will be unable to keep an eye on them while performing our duty. Please have pets who are “flight risks” secured so they do not escape as we are carrying in our bulky supplies.   

We cannot be held responsible for missing or injured your pets. If your pet becomes anxious or presents a safety concern, Cotton Cleaning Co. reserves the right to remove its employees from your home. If an employee leaves your home prior to completion, Cotton Cleaning Co. will charge you a pro-rated expense based on work performed. If the removal of our cleaning technician is due to aggressive pets, our cancellation policy will apply.  
 
Refunds/Re-Cleans:  

Any refunds will not be given if not contacted within 24 hours of the cleaning nor any re-cleans will be done if not notified within 24 hours. Any re-cleans can only be done with the same cleaning technician(s) and only within the first 48 hours of the initial cleaning.  

 

Treatment of our Cleaning Technicians:  

Gratuities are appreciated and can be handed right to the cleaner(s) or added to your final payment.  

 

Cotton Cleaning Co. reserves the right to remove its employees from your home should the environment become unsafe. We have zero tolerance for any mistreatment of our technicians, including physical, verbal, or otherwise. Any mistreatment will result in us being unable to conduct any further business with you and full payment will apply.  

Our Cleaning Technicians have the choice to leave upon arrival if the home is in extreme condition or feel unsafe/threatened. If you book a cleaning online that is not reasonable, such as cleaning up after a large party, the cleaners may refuse service on the spot and you will be charged the maximum cancellation fee.  

  

Your rights:  

You have the right to request a technician to leave your home if they make you uncomfortable. Please alert management right away and we will pull them from the job site and send a replacement at our earliest availability to complete the job. Please note that the full balance will be due at the time of the original appointment.  

  
Delays:  

Cleaning Technicians are allowed a 1-hour window to deal with traffic, parking, and other surprises.  

  

Construction:  

Our official bids are based on cleaning the area one time thoroughly (in as many visits as necessary). If any additional work is performed after we have performed any cleaning resulting in the need for a re-clean, our standard rates of $95/man-hour will apply. One Time Cleans (e.g. post-construction, etc.):  

A 50% cancellation fee will be applied for cleans not canceled by Noon, 12 PM PST 48-hours before your clean.  

  

Deposit:  

A $50 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking. The deposit is transferable with 72 hours' notice. The deposit will not be transferable with any changes made within 72 hours of the morning of your scheduled appointment and a new deposit will be required at that time.  

  

Payments:  

Payment is due immediately upon completion of the project. Any unpaid balance is subject to a late fee of $30 per week with the first fee accruing at 9 pm the day of your appointment until paid in full.   

 

Cancellations:  
Cotton Cleaning Co. will assess a $50 cancellation fee if a repeat clean is canceled after Noon, 12 PM PST 48-hour before your appointment. Should you need to cancel within 48 hours of your appointment, your deposit will be forfeit. You may choose to use the deposit toward a different property if it's the same day and time as your original appointment.  

 

Should one of our workers become ill or weather/road conditions prevent us from keeping our scheduled appointment, we will offer our next soonest availability or you may choose to cancel that appointment.  
 

Confirmation:  

Booking a service online doesn’t guarantee you a spot for that date/time. You will be contacted by email or phone with a confirmation.  

 

Price Adjustments:  

If the pricing calculator underestimates the price of your cleaning and the condition of your home is much worse than predicted, we do have permission to either adjust the price or refuse the service.  

  

Price Increases:  

Cotton Cleaning Co. reserves the right to adjust service prices at any time. Our recurring customers will be notified 14 days prior to any price increase.  

 

Site Terms of Use Modifications:  

Cotton Cleaning Co. may revise these terms of use for its web site at any time without notice. By using this website, you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these Terms and Conditions of Use.
